Summer Vacation Part 2: Spokane with the Skelton Clan

When we got in to Spokane after the week in Utah, we had the chance to spend time with most of the Skelton's. Paige was still in Florida working, but Cole and Erin were able to come from California to visit for the week. Although we stayed with Cameron's parents, we spent most all of this week with the Skelton's. It was packed with fun activities everyday and was so fun to just really get to spend some time together. We have lived in Ohio since before Cole and Erin were married, so this was the first time that we were able to spend more than a day or two at the most together.

Grant became buddies with Uncle Cole

One of the days, we went to downtown Spokane and just walked around and then had a picnic lunch at Riverfront Park. It was a really nice day and so fun.

Here is one of the many cool pictures Cameron took while we were looking at the falls.

Checking out the river

Grant was asleep, so Grandma volunteered to stay in the car with him while the rest of us walked around. Here we are in front of the falls

pretty downtown Spokane!

Dad was a good tour guide. Lots of history about Spokane that I never knew

Of course we had to take Grant down the giant slide ont he wagon!

There he goes!

Running away from the City of Spokane blocks

We even got to ride on the carrousel!

Side note: when we were standing in line to go on the carrousel, I felt the baby move for the first time for sure! Then, it was so strong that I told Cameron to see if he could feel it and he could too! So fun.

Grant wasn't super sure what he thought of the ride

blurry, but there are Cole and Erin in the back

another night of family fun was quite unexpected. Apparently my mom had been planning it for a while and we had a Beatles/60's party! We each got our own 60's costume to wear, had treats and decorations and played Beatles rockband! Grant LOVED playing the drums and would actually play for the entire song.

everyone...Brooke was sick, that's why she's not into it as much as we all are (:

The Lovinger's

Here's Grant all ready for the party!
On the 4th of July, we drove up to spend time with my dad's family at my Grandma's house. It was fun to see everyone that we hadn't seen since at least Cole and Erin's reception or longer.

Grandpa and Grant checking out Grandma's horse

Grant loved having other kids to play with.

Charlie, Wes and Grant

Everyone hanging out on the porch

blowing bubbles with Grandma Dagnon

checking out the horse up close

Grant loved the dog and would chase him around everywhere

at the end of the day, the kids decided to run through the sprinklers

they had a blast

It was so nice that Jordan and Amy were able to come to Spokane for a few days while we were there too. It was so fun to see baby Spencer.

Here's Grant roping Spencer

One night during the week, we left Grant asleep at home with Papa and Mimi while we all went out to Dockside for dessert. It was fun to just get to relax and talk and not have to chase Grant around.

It was a super fun week and we were lucky to be able to pack in so much fun and family time!
